Necromancy is usually a poor choice for arcane spellcasters -- those who really want to master the deathless arts almost always pursue divine means. However, an alternative exists for those who desire power over undead but refuse to give up their arcane craft completely. Enter the pale master, who draws on a font of special lore that provides a macabre power all its own.
[edit] Abilities
Bone Skin: A pale master's flesh becomes tough and cadaverous.
Animate Dead, Create Undead, Create Greater Undead: A pale master can cast necromancy spells which summon undead creatures as spell-like abilities.
Deathless Vigor: A pale master becomes supernaturally resilient.
Undead Graft: Pale masters perform horrific operations upon themselves, replacing one of their arms with a supernaturally animated undead apendage. This undead arm can perform several debilitating touch attacks.
Tough As Bone: A pale master becomes more and more like one of the implacable undead, and is immune to hold, paralysis and stun effects.
Deathless Mastery: The most powerful pale masters are practically undead beings themselves, and are immune to critical hits.
