Richard Baker, full name: L. Richard Baker III, is a writer who worked for TSR, Inc., where he co-created the Birthright setting, and subsequently for Wizards of the Coast as an author and game designer for 3rd edition and 4th edition. He left the company in 2011.
Rich grew up on the Jersey shore before graduating from Virginia Tech University. At some point he joined the Navy and was stationed in Virginia, Rhode Island, and Louisiana. He has a wife, Kim, and two daughters, Alex and Hannah.
