Rothé are herd animals and one of the primary livestock of humans in Faerûn's northern areas and of the drow of the Underdark below^[1]. They resemble musk oxen, and have three different sub-species.

The Axe of Mirabar, the militia of the city of Mirabar, ride rothé in the winter.^[2]

Sub-SpeciesEdit

Surface Rothé

Deep Rothé 

This sub-species communicates with magical flashing lights in the Underdark.

Ghost Rothé 

These rothé are larger than average, and are white with magical abilities that grant them transportation and silence.
