Runemeet is a holy day of Uthgar on the autumn equinox when the Uthgardt tribes travel to their respective ancestor mounts (or to Beorunna's Well, the holiest of all) for rites, pacts, and communing with ancestors.[1] This is when juveniles who seek recognition as full tribe members prove themselves by hunting their tribes' ritual enemies.[2] Although Uthgardt ceremonies can be performed anywhere[1], the Thunderbeast tribe believed it could not stay strong without an ancestor mound.[2]
