Shoosuvas were hyena-shaped demons that were given to powerful gnolls as gifts from Yeenoghu after victorious battles. Each shoosuva was bonded with its gnoll master, and warriors who possessed such companions ranked high in gnoll war bands, second only to flinds.[1]
