The Shrine of the Scimitar was a mosque dedicated to Vataqatal in Liham, in 1367 DR.[note 1][1]

The mosque was situated so that it overlooked the bazaar.[1]

The Shrine of the Scimitar was made from white marble. The marble was stained with red rust to appear like blood. Each pillar of the mosque was woven with lines of red.[1]

All of the priests inhabiting the Shrine of the Scimitar were outspoken Moralists who defended the various mamluk societies of Zakhara.[1]
