The Smokespire was an extinct volcano in the Troll Mountains of Amn famed for being the home of the great dragon Balagos. It was the westernmost mountain in the range.[1]
History[]
The Smokespire was once the home of Hulrundrar until Balagos slew her. In Tarsakh of 1374 DR, Daelegoth Orndeir led an assault on Balagos' lair to retrieve the Shard of the Sun, a relic of Amaunator captured by Hulrundrar.[2]
