Splint armour.
Splint mail (or simply splint[1]) was a type of armor used on Toril.

DescriptionEdit

Splint mail was made up of several vertical strips of metal (known as splints) that were riveted to a backing of leather. Splint was worn over cloth padding.[1] The joints in splint mail were often protected with chainmail.[5] Splint mail was common in Turmish, Vaasa,[6] and Cormyr.[7] Splint mail was rare in Kara-Tur.[8]
