Splint mail (or simply splint[1]) was a type of armor used on Toril.

Description[]

Splint mail was made up of several vertical strips of metal (known as splints) that were riveted to a backing of leather. Splint was worn over cloth padding.[1] The joints in splint mail were often protected with chainmail.[6]
