Sprites were a grouping of fey races, consisting of grigs, nixies and pixies.

Though sprites were generally reclusive, they were ready to combat ugliness and evil and defend their homes. In battle, they favored ambushes and tricks, and fought with their magic and their tiny weapons. According to legend, a sprite could only die by sickness or injury, never old age.[1]

The gods Chauntea, Eldath, Erevan Ilesere, Mielikki, Sheela Peryroyl, and Silvanus all had sprites among their servants.[3]

In 1369 DR, a clan of sprites dwelt in the Misty Vale in Brynwood in the Vast, where they served the Green Lady, a druid of Eldath.[4]
