A staff of battle was a magical +3 staff of tremendous speed that possessed a number of abilities and spell-like effects.[1]

The staff had a number of continuous abilities such as being unbreakable by any blade, having a chance to disarm opponents, and attracting and absorbing missiles, including magic missiles, from up to 10' (3 m) away, rendering them harmless.[1]
At will, and at the cost of two magical charges, the staff could repel creatures as per the spell repulsion. Also once per day, the wielder could cast thunderstrike upon landing a blow, possibly stunning their opponent or destroying doors, shields, or other non-living objects.[1]
