Domains[]

Domains are wrong for Baphomet. FC1 gives him Chaos, Evil, Fury, and Strength on the cited page. Vreejack (talk) 21:42, December 31, 2015 (UTC)

Vree, thank you for fixing and noticing this error :) - Darkwynters (talk) 00:05, January 1, 2016 (UTC)

Description[]

Pretty Sure in "Mordenkainens Tome of Foes" on page 142 Baphomet is described as being 20 feet tall, not 12 feet tall, and Baphomet being 20 feet tall rather than only 12 feet tall makes more sense, considering he is considered a Huge creature in his stat-block on the next page over (143).

Good eye. Seeing as how the writer didn't source the claim, I don't know where specifically they got the number 12. However, in 2nd edition dnd, where Baphomet is mentioned more frequently as an interloper in the giant pantheon, it is stated that he appears as an 12-foot-tall, bull-headed ogre. Since this is an avatar however, one could probably say that he's actually 20 feet tall but is known to send shorter avatars. The article is generally sparse and poorly sourced, so I personally would encourage you to make sourced corrections if you want.Vegepygmy (talk) 15:20, 27 July 2021 (UTC)

Is he a god or not?[]

In 3e Faiths and Pantheons, in the table at the end of the manual, he's stated to be a lesser deity. Is that correct for 3e/3.5 or was it later updated? Since we are at it, in case he's not a deity in Hordes of the Abyss, if I recall correctly HotA is a generic-setting manual, that in 3e meant "Greyhawk setting". Is it possible that he was a god in Forgotten Realms, but not in other cosmologies? NPC Stories (talk) 23:52, 7 March 2024 (UTC)
