Ysgard/Gates of the Moon

The first line of the article states, "The Gates of the Moon, also known as Ysgard," and is cited as being information from page 170 of On Hallowed Ground. However, unless I misunderstand how planes work, Gates of the Moon is a layer of Ysgard, not the same plane (according to that source, which clearly states "Home [Plane/Layer/Realm]: Ysgard/Ysgard/Gates of the Moon").

If I'm not mistaken, a simple edit will fix this article (something like "The Gates of the Moon, a layer of the [[plane]] of [[Ysgard]]"). If not, then the Ysgard article needs to be redirected here and maybe combined with the Gladsheim article.

This article is on my list to get an overhaul, it is a mishmash of information from various editions. In 2nd edition as described by On Hallowed Ground, Gates of the Moon is the Realm of Selûne in the Layer of Ysgard on the Plane of Ysgard, which is confusing all by itself. As described by the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting 2nd edition (revised) on page 52 of the Running the Realms booklet, it says she resides in Gladsheim (1st edition also says Gladsheim). By 3rd edition, Gates of the Moon is its own plane connected to the World Tree, and in 4th edition it is floating in the Astral Sea. This article will pick up where the Gladsheim/Ysgard article leaves off. I'm just going to remove the Ysgard reference for now. —Moviesign (talk) 01:37, March 5, 2014 (UTC)

Gwynharwyf

Who is Gwynharwyf? Is it a miss spelling of Guenhwyvar or Gwaeron Windstrom. In the article it says this being wanders this plane. Guenhwyvar would be more at home in a nature or elf plane, but Gwaeron might fit here. The only thing is all of the other deities here are female. Is this Gwynharwyf a demi-power, angelic being, or faithful spirit residing in their goddess' realm? (TeliomBrainFreeze (talk) 03:23, June 28, 2014 (UTC))

She's the patron of barbarians and there is a prestige class called Champion of Gwynharwyf outlined in the Book of Exalted Deeds. She is mentioned on page 189 of the Player's Guide to Faerûn, so I guess that makes her canon. —Moviesign (talk) 04:20, June 28, 2014 (UTC)
