According to Ed Greenwood Presents Elminster's Forgotten Realms most tea in Faerûn its not actual tea. Actual tea does exists, but is not as popular a coffee. Most of what Faerunians consider "tea" is in fact made from leaves of other kinds of plants. According to the book, most "tea" is cultivated locally, making the trade of tea as the easiest way to get branded as madman or make authorities look on you with suspicions ("Tea"? Yeah right, that guys is bringing something fishy. Bring him in."). Should we mention that kind of stuff in this article? Or we would be better creating and article about "tea"?--Zero (talk) 07:20, March 11, 2018 (UTC)

It seems slightly pedantic, since even in the real world tea not made from actual tea leaves is typically still called tea. Then again, if Ed made a point to specifically point it out... -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 08:17, March 11, 2018 (UTC)
I think its an interesting little detail and it would it fit well in the article.Ruf (talk) 11:12, March 11, 2018 (UTC)
Yeah, all it amounts to is a statement that Faerunian teas are generally not the leaves of Camellia sinensis (the actual Wikipedia:tea plant, and most likely what is drunk in Kara-Tur). Pedantic, yeah, but then, we are a wiki. :) Go ahead, put it all in. — BadCatMan (talk) 11:27, March 11, 2018 (UTC)
