Theris was the dying king of Mourktar in Threskel in 1357 DR.

In 1357, Theris was on the verge of dying without an heir. Under the inspiration of his god, he announced a great tournament to choose the new king. The tournament was opened to all men and woman, both humans and half-elves.[3] However the tournament failed and in 1358 DR Theris died. After his death the city was ruled by the Imperceptor Kabbarath Telthaug, that secretly had engineering the failure of the tournament.[1]

Theris was loved by his army.[4]
