The Tome of Universal Harmony is the most holy book of the god Deneir, studied and memorized by his disciples.

A large tome in thick black bindings, containing nearly two thousand pages.[1]

The book is worth to be read more than once during one's life because as the perceptions of the world change while the words in the book remain the same, the meaning of those words will change as well.[2]

Song of Universal HarmonyEdit

Thoroughly reading and letting oneself get into the book will lead to hearing the "song" of the book in one's mind - the special meaning behind simple words singing in one's mind, a melody along with ancient voices.[3]

The reader can get lost in that song though, the song draining one's strength quickly. Several of higher ranking Deneirian preists have been found dead, lying across the book[4]. They tried to hear the song of Deneir, the song of universal mysteries, but were not strong enough to control the effects of that strange and beautiful music.

The song is a sweet and melancholy melody, a song of living and dying, of salvation and damnation, of eternal energy and finite matter, sung with voices of ancient accents and reverent tones, a music of heavenly spheres, of sunrise and sunset and all the details that play eternally in between. A song without end[5].

A high ranking disciple can call upon the song at any time and use the power that comes with the song. Recalling a certain page, along with the right melody, gives the priest the power to enact different kinds of magic.[6]

AffinityEdit

Priests hearing the song have the ability to turn into the animal which they are the most familiar with. Cadderly Bonaduce, a Chosen of Deneir for example could turn into a giant white squirrel, much like his animal friend, the white squirrel Percival[7].

AuroraEdit

When a priest is totally into the song, feeling it with his or her whole being, the soul of other people reveals itself in form of shadowy images on top of their shoulders. This effect is called Aurora. The priest sees the shadows as interpretation of the person's strongest feelings or urgings.[8]

PrevisionEdit

High ranking disciples sometimes have the gift of prevision - foreseeing events that will inevitably come to pass. [9]

SpellsEdit

The pages contain various spells that have to be memorized in form of a song, for example spells of healing, words of silence[10], words of light[11], a spell to enhance one's hearing[12], a spell to outline and reveal an invisible person[13], to dispell malevolent collections of magic[14] and a spell of hypnosis[15].
