The Tree-Gem of Bloodstone is a 30 ft tall white tree with golden leaves growing in the courtyard of Palace Dragonsbane in Bloodstone Village.

HistoryEdit

In 1359 DR, Gareth Dragonsbane and party traveled to the Abyss and stole the Wand of Orcus using advice from Saint Sollars. Bahamut, the platinum dragon[1] then directed them to the only method of its destruction, which was to immerse the wand in the black blood of Tiamat's heart.

After being destroyed in Tiamat's blood, the heart of the wand was left behind in the form of a small white gem. This gem was planted in the courtyard of Palace Dragonsbane in Bloodstone Village and grew into a tall white tree with golden leaves.[2]

PowersEdit

So long as the rulers of Bloodstone align with good, the Tree-Gem prevents demons from entering the Kingdom of Bloodstone.

Occasionally, the Tree-Gem drops a branch that can be fashioned into powerful weapons or magical items for those it deems worthy[3]. Grandmaster Kane carries a walking, or Jo Stick of the White Tree, made from such a branch.[4] The wooden doors to King Gareth Dragonsbane's audience chamber[5] and the desk of the wizard Emelyn the Gray[6] are made of the same wood.
