Trobriand is a wizard and former student of Halaster who lives in Undermountain. He specializes in magical metal creations, and whenever one of his creations fails, he uses Trobriand's wand of rejection to send it to Trobriand's Graveyard. He thinks of his creations as being superior to other creatures.[1]

[edit] Graveyard

Main article: Trobriand's Graveyard

Trobriand is most renowned for Trobriand's Graveyard which is an area of Undermountain he originally used to discard his broken or failed creations. He noticed that some of the creations he had discarded showed signs of activity, and began to monitor them. They eventually created a society of their own, and Trobriand is careful to provide them with everything they need to survive.[2]

[edit] Appearance

Trobriand is tall and very thin with long grey hair, and clean-shaven. He appears to be frail but despite this, his magic keeps his physical condition good.[2]

[edit] Background

Trobriand is an ex-student of Halaster Blackcloak. Although he is a powerful mage in his own right, Trobiand does not pose a threat to Halaster himself.[2]

[edit] Personality

Trobriand shuns humanity and other living beings in favour of his creations, which he sees as superior. He has met with and fought adventurers in Undermountain in his past, but this has only caused him to become more paranoid and anti-social. He has limited trust of Halaster.[2]
