The Untheric languages group was one of the two major branches of the Rauric languages family and included languages spoken in both Faerûn and Zakhara.[1]
Subgroups[]
The Untheric languages included the Untheric language spoken in Unther and also those of two language subgroups, the Midani and Alzho languages.[1] Untheric was strongly influenced by Imaskari slave argot,[2] while the Midani and Alzho languages were shaped by the languages of genies.[1][3]
History[]
By the late 15th century DR, the Untheric group had risen to become the third most active language group in Faerûn.[4]

Inspiration[]
The grouping of the Untheric languages was inspired by the real-life Semitic languages, such as Akkadian and Modern Arabic.[1]
