Urkamond Thond was a wealthy aristocrat from Saerloon, Sembia, who made his fortune in the textile trade.[1][2]

Even though he could easily afford better, he was known to stay at the Whistling Wizard inn when he passed through Voonlar. He was of the opinion that it was "Far better than I'd been led to believe. If all one demands is fair food and a place to sleep unmolested, it serves quite adequately."[1][2]
