Westgate Ruby was a wine exported from Westgate. It was also sold through Aurora's Whole Realms Catalogue.[2]

Description[]

This bold crimson wine was slightly acidic. It was complimented best when served with beef or a hearty stew.[2]

Availability[]

Westgate Ruby was available from the Jovial Juggler and Feldepost's Inn of Beregost in the Western Heartlands for ten gold pieces per serving. Cheaper servings could be found in the Belching Dragon in Nashkel.[1]

History[]

In Eleint of 1367 DR, in Ghars in Cormyr, Barthelm Meadowbrock ordered a butt of Westgate Ruby from Shortshanks of the Bold Bard tavern. He swore it was the only wine to have with the Beef and Oysters Barnabas he'd planned for the welcoming dinner at the upcoming Grand Council of the Merchants' Guild.[4]
