High Priest Barriltar Bhandraddon was a cleric of Torm and high priest of the Temple of Torm's Coming in Tantras in the mid-to-late 14th century DR.[1][2][3][4]
Activities[]
As high priest, Barriltar supervised 49 lesser priests and 75 lay followers.[1][2][3][4] They wealthy and growing in number.[3]
From this place, Barriltar extended Torm's reach and worship by sponsoring knightly orders across Faerûn and preaching of loyalty and obedience, which appealed to city folk who tired of crime and civil disorder.[3]
Owing to his church's influence in the city, Barriltar also sat on the High Council of Tantras.[2][4]
History[]
Following the disgrace and death of High Priest Dunn Tenwealth in the Time of Troubles in the Year of Shadows, 1358 DR and Torm's subsequent reformation of the church,[5][3] Barriltar Bhandraddon became high priest of the renamed temple in that year.[1]
He remained as high priest for at least the next ten years.[2][3][4]
